It’s true what they say – time really does fly when you’re having fun! On February 15th, 2021, we officially became Brown & Brown Absence Services Group, as the former Advocator Group and Social Security Advocates for the Disabled combined forces to deliver Social Security Disability Insurance advocacy services under a new name and brand. The brand rollout continued into May, as we welcomed Professional Disability Associates into the fold, and then again in July when Adeo Solutions, our Second Injury Fund recovery business, came under the brand umbrella as well.

As we approach our one-year anniversary, I’ve taken the opportunity to reflect on all that has happened over the last year. Rebranding one entity is a meaningful undertaking, let alone four! However, I was never overly concerned about the many critical details involved with this project as I knew that my team was committed, prepared, and focused on our long-term goals. In the end, I consider the launch of our new brand to be a great success and I hope you join me in that sentiment.

We began the process of evaluating our brand and planning for this change long before the launch date back in February of 2021. We proceeded thoughtfully and carefully to ensure that we got it right, and that our teammates, customers, and the entire community around us would be impressed and excited about who we were becoming. Our firm belief was, and remains, that by combining the capabilities of all of our entities and service lines into one organization we could better serve the evolving needs of our customers. From industry-leading clinical file reviews to top-quality Social Security disability advocacy, from flexible and experienced talent solutions to best-in-class consulting services, we’re uniquely positioned to add significant and sustained value across the absence continuum.

With the benefit of hindsight, it’s easy to say we might have done this a little better or that slightly differently, but truthfully, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m immensely proud and appreciative of the work of my team, the reputation and capabilities of this organization, and the unsurpassed partnership with our large and growing customer base. We’re extremely excited about the next chapters for our business and I truly believe that we’re just getting started.

Happy “Brandiversary,” Brown & Brown Absence Services Group!
