In February of 2021, we launched the Brown & Brown Absence Services Group brand. In choosing to identify ourselves as Brown & Brown Absence Services Group, we made the commitment to continue to deliver solutions and services to customers, clients, and teammates across the absence continuum. We have had an exciting first 11 months as Brown & Brown Absence Services Group and wanted to share just a few highlights:
February 15, 2021
Brown & Brown Absence Services Group was officially launched to the marketplace, as The Advocator Group and Social Security Advocates for the Disabled (SSAD) combined forces to deliver SSDI advocacy services under a new name and brand. Having collectively secured close to 200,000 awards for clients in their combined tenure, the strengths of each organization have helped us secure an additional 9,000+ awards since the rebrand, even during an unprecedented time of Social Security delays as a result of the pandemic.

Brown & Brown Absence Services Group expanded its solutions to include those powered by Professional Disability Associates (PDA), which was first acquired by The Advocator Group in 2018. Services powered by PDA include our Claims Management Solutions, Talent Solutions, and Disability Advisory Services. Moving forward together uniquely positions our organization to deliver comprehensive absence and disability services across the employee benefits industry.

With the introduction of Brown & Brown Absence came a new blog – Absensibility – designed to provide unique, timely content to make sense of the ever-evolving world of absence management, while offering guidance and support for individuals dealing with disabling conditions. In choosing to call our blog Absensibility, we sought to convey both an appreciation for and a response to the complex tactical and emotional aspects of an absence.

The release of our fifth solution – Recovery Services – included the introduction of new and existing services within the Brown & Brown Absence brand, balancing the goals of our customers and the needs of our individual clients throughout every step of the benefit recovery process. As part of this solution, our Second Injury Fund (SIF) recovery business, formerly known as Adeo Solutions, officially became part of Brown & Brown Absence Services Group.

Aevo Insurance Services, our Medicare-focused insurance services company dedicated to providing personal guidance and enrollment support to individuals who are eligible for Medicare, officially joined the Brown & Brown Absence Services Group brand family with the launch of a new website to better fit the look and feel of the brand. This agency is unique in its singular focus on Medicare decision support, with a dedication to helping customers navigate their options and making the right decision for their individual health and financial needs
Our first year as Brown & Brown Absence Group was filled with exciting opportunities and chances to make an impact across the absence continuum. As we move into 2022, we look forward to continuing to deliver solutions and provide services that best support the needs of our customers, clients, and teammates.
